It has been a while since I have gotten onto my blog. My fourth granddaughter Emily Elaine Miessner was born on September 28, 2009. She is a beautiful little daughter of God. She weighed 7 lbs. 14 ounces and was 20 1/2 inches long. I was able to spend about a week and a half with Anne and her family, so I got some good grandma time in. Emily had a little trouble at first gaining weight, but I think she is making up for that now. Anne starts her new job in Chicago as a Case Manager for the FDIC on November 30, 2009. That will be an exciting time for their family.
The drive to and from Kentucky was beautiful with all of the fall colors. I had wonderful weather there and back, which was really good because I did not realize until I got home that I really needed new tires on the Nissan, so I am so grateful that Heavenly Father watched over me the whole way.
My daughter Laura is pregnant and we are really praying that she will be able to keep this baby. She is sick so that is a good sign--but I think she is getting a bit tired of being sick and tired. She is in our prayers a lot.
My son John recently became engaged to Silver O'neal. John is in the Marines and Silver is in the Air Force--this should be interesting. I really hope they can get everything worked out. Silver is going to Church with John and I have talked with him about getting her started with the missionary lessons and going to the family ward instead of the singles branch. Silver seems like a nice young lady and I cannot wait to meet her over Christmas.
I worry a lot about my daughter Jenny. She is in her own little world in California and does not communicate with any of the rest of her family much. I just hope and pray for her safety each and every day. Someday I hope she will find us important again.
My good friend Steve Christiansen's daughter Sarah is getting married next week the day after Thanksgiving 11-27-2009 in the Draper, Utah Temple. I am so happy for her and Jacob Quinn and wish that I were able to go.
It is Clinton's family's turn for Thanksgiving this year. Thursday we are going to go to Salina to his sister Charlotte's, then on Saturday we are going to Coffeyville to have a Turkey day on Sunday with Donna and Rocky, etc at Clinton's step-mom Betty's house.
I will really miss going to see my family, but can't wait to see them at Christmas time.
