Life is busy!

I know it has been a while, but there has been a lot going on in my life and in my family's life. I had another birthday on March 9, 2009 and was able to go to the Dallas Temple with my daughter Laura a few days before it and Laura gave me a Birthday party at her house on Sunday, March 8. Clinton had surgery on his left hand index finger the end of March and started physical therapy and is now back to work full-time again after being off almost five months. Pop, Laura, Jeremy, Jennifer and Iva all had birthdays in April.

May 2, Anne, Laura and John were able to come to my Hooding Ceremony for my MBA from Friends University. Anne is pregnant and due in the end of September--with my fourth granddaughter. May 4, John left for Marine Basic in San Diego, CA where he turned 23 on May 6th. On May 9th I graduated from Friends University with my MBA in Wichita, KS. On May 17th CC graduated from High School at Shawnee Heights here in Topeka, then turned 18 on May 25th.

Clinton and I took a fun trip to Branson, MO for a few days over Memorial Day weekend. Then the weekend of May 30 we went to my third granddaughter Kirsten's first dance recital--and it was so cute!!! Brought back a lot of memories of my three daughters when they were young and in dance classes. After that we went to Norman and celebrated with my parents. It was there 60th wedding anniversary; we took them to Marie Calendar's for dinner, then went to their house for cake and ice cream. It was a small family celebration, just like they wanted. I had them a beautiful placque made to hang on their wall. Life is very busy, but good. God is watching over us thankfully.
